So....what do you do with all of the apples that you come home with
after an afternoon of apple picking with three kids????
|
Can you believe that this is not all of them??? |
Healthy snacks - yes, of course. Apple pie? Good option.

Caramel Apples |
The kids had a blast making these and it was very quick and easy to do.
Melt approx. 15 oz of caramel squares in a glass measuring cup with 1 tbs. water. Stir at 30 second intervals to prevent burning. Meanwhile, stick lollipop sticks into clean, dry apples. Place toppings on a shallow plate or in a bowl. When the caramel is melted, dip the apples inside. Use the back of a spoon to wipe of any excess caramel. Quickly roll in the topping, making sure to press gently. Let cool on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper (lightly spray paper with cooking spray to prevent sticking). And Voila! Caramel apples for dessert!
